1960's ussr submarine signal flag. this little guy is small but mighty. cloth construction with dyed red cross. sea worn cloth, metal clasp and hook. 12" x 19"
there is some debate as to what this flag stands for; the american version it represents that of the red cross or that the ship has a medical emergency but the flag originates from russia so then it would stand for "Конец учения" which google translates to "end of teaching" in english or just plainly, their letter "x".
